What is Hypochlorous Acid?

A naturally occurring molecule used in eye care to support safe, effective hygiene for the eyes and lashes (and safe with lash extensions!) 

Hypochlorous acid (HOCl) is a gentle yet powerful molecule naturally produced by the white blood cells in the human body.  One of its key features is that it is antimicrobial meaning it reduces bacteria while being gentle and safe for the delicate eye area. 

In eye care and skin care, hypochlorous acid has been used for years as part of eyelid and lash hygiene routines to help manage conditions such as blepharitis, dry eye disease, and bacterial overgrowth along the lash line.  When properly formulated, it is non toxic, non-irritating and safe for use around the eyes. 

It is safe to use with lash extensions and is an easy add on after daily cleaning after using a foaming cleanser, or during the day as a refresh (even with make up on!).
